We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Toronto District in Oakville, Ontario within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in January 2023.
Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Student and depending on your assigned project, here’s how you will contribute to the team:
Assists with the day-to-day management of Toronto’s co-op program which includes: Planning & organizing orientations, events, managing databases, prescreening, interviewing candidates), and working with the applicant tracking database.
Assists with policy research and development.
Assists with the preparation and set-up of various professional development events, which includes the tracking of professional development in the learning management system as required.
Coordinates and participates in career fairs.
Assists with the generation of various analytics reports and HR metrics.
Assists with the organization of Health & Wellness events.
Assists with various tasks and other special projects as required.
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong willingness to learn.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and organize work and time efficiently.
Ability to re-prioritize and respond to changing demands/focus.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
