Overview
Pembina’s Calgary office is recruiting an Analyst, Logistics to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Logistics in the Oil Sands and Heavy Oil Business Unit (OBU), part of Pembina’s Pipelines division. This (6-month contract) will be responsible for managing product movements on Pembina’s Oil Sands and Heavy Oil pipeline systems. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to be involved in product movements on a variety of Pembina’s pipeline systems and terminals that may include, Synthetic Crude, Heavy Oil, Conventional Crude, Condensate and Ethane.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Overseeing the volumetric accounting for the Oil Sands terminals;
- Confirm, validate, and report on terminal Customers’ inventory positions and product movement on a monthly basis;
- Analyze and prepare allocation of deliveries by commodity type to outbound connected facilities;
- Verify receipt volumes with inbound connected facilities;
- Prepare and issue terminal customers’ monthly tank inventory balances (Shipper Balances);
- Manage monthly tank over / short positions in accordance with terminal Inventory Settlement Procedures;
- Ensure individual customer transactions and terminal services are prepared and reported accurately to Finance for the preparation of monthly accruals and revenue invoices;
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with terminal customers and connected facilities;
- Submit required government volume reporting accurately and in accordance with industry deadlines;
- Preparing and reviewing monthly tariff and equalization invoices;
- Monthly reporting on an internal and external basis;
- Analytical project support as required; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of pipeline logistics experience is required;
- Experience with Synthetic Crude, Heavy Oil, Conventional Crude, and Condensate;
- High degree of proficiency and confidence with software applications specifically MS Excel, Word, and Logistic software;
- Focused with a focus on details and accurate output of deliverables;
- Strong verbal and communication skills;
- Move quickly on issues and opportunities weighing risks in a fast-paced environment;
- Team contributor who works effectively and productively;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills managing competing priorities; and
- Ability to meet changing demands and responsibilities.
