Office Assistant/Receptionist
Perfect Surfaces is a dynamic, growing specialty flooring company currently seeking a professional, energetic, highly motivated individual with a positive attitude who is eager to learn through hands-on experience. Reporting to our head office and warehouse in Airdrie, Alberta, the Office Assistant/Receptionist position must be filled by a hard-working individual with a willingness to learn.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the first point of contact for the company, the Office Assistant/Receptionist will be working in an office environment performing a variety of administrative tasks, reporting directly to the Office Manager. The regular hours of work will be 9:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. This full-time position is compensated hourly ($16.50 starting rate, qualifications and performance may increase starting wage), and a health spending account takes effect following successful completion of the probationary period. Regular duties and responsibilities of the Office Assistant/Receptionist include:
· Greeting clients in person and over the phone
· Clerical duties (filing, data entry, processing sales orders)
· Assisting with general sales & office operations as required
· Assisting the Sales team with accounts receivable/collections
· Assisting with management of online sales platforms
· Accomplishing department and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed
· Ensuring the office is clean and organized/light housekeeping
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a hardworking, teachable candidate with excellent basic skills (communication, multitasking, problem solving etc.). The successful candidate will be trained in all specific office procedures and computer programs. Although specific experience, education, and training are not required for this position it is imperative that the successful candidate demonstrates a high level of administrative competence and possesses the following:
· Polished phone and email etiquette
· Tactful and polite communication skills
· Enthusiastic and cheerful disposition
· Pleasant and respectful team player
· Conscientious and follows direction
· Meticulous organization skills and attention to detail
· Exceptional work ethic and integrity
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office
· Apt and willing to learn
· Office administration/assistant experience is an asset but not required
· Customer service experience is an asset but not required
