POSITION OVERVIEW

Petrela, Winter & Associates (PWA), a Navacord Company, is hiring for a Surety Account Associate to provide service support on a portfolio of high quality construction surety business. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately prepare surety bonds as requested through our customized bond management system
• Provide timely turn around for requests and inquiries from our clients
• Communicate with underwriters and clients to confirm request details, obtain approvals, and determine premiums
• Interpret construction tender packages to verify certain request details
• Invoicing and record keeping in EPIC
• Collaborate with other members of the Bond Team to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Be a positive and supportive team member that contributes to our culture

REQUIREMENTS:

• Comfort with database platforms and MS Office
• Surety experience is preferred for this role, but not essential
• One year of experience in the insurance industry (insurer or broker) is preferred
• RIBO and ACSB designations are assets (support for obtaining those licenses will be provided if desired)
• A strong communicator, both written and oral
• Sense of ownership and attention to detail
• Works well both in a group environment and autonomously
• Willingness to learn, be challenged to grow and collaborate with team members
