Settlement Analyst
Location: Calgary
Contract: Initially 12 months
As a member of the TSL Finance team, this individual will provide support to the TSL business unit managing commodities including crude oil, gas, and NGL. This position will work closely with the front office, back office and our external counterparties. The responsibilities focus on settlement arrangement, payable and receivable management, and process documentation.
Core Responsibilities
* Manage counterparty settlement, invoice payment, and receivable balances.
* Document business processes.
* Conduct AR/AP Analysis and reconciliations
* Prepare quarterly customer reports
* Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in projects as required
* Providing internal teams with data and summarized reports

Qualifications
An Accounting degree/designation is preferred but not required
Ability to identify and resolve problems with minimal supervision
Demonstrates initiative, drive, enthusiasm, dedication and success in previous endeavors
Excel and other computer skills with the ability to work within multiple systems and applications.
Exceptional attention to details and experience in business / analysis.
Exceptional skills in effectively managing multiple tasks,
Experience in oil and gas marketing would be considered an asset
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Results-oriented with a drive to be able to work independently under tight deadlines and
Strong communication and analytical skills in identifying root cause of an issue.
Superior attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, multi-task
Working knowledge of SAP Financial module including FBL1 / FBL5.
