About the role: P&C is currently recruiting for a Social Media Specialist for our sister creative agency, Bonus Track. The right candidate must be social media-obsessed, with a finger on the pulse of what is trending. The right candidate will be skilled across all social media platforms, have excellent writing skills and be comfortable developing ideation for short-form video content. A strong interest in fashion, retail and lifestyle is a MUST – this role will work in developing the social media strategy, editorial calendar and content for leading shopping centres, retailers, and beverage brands, amongst other clients.

Roles and responsibilities for our Social Media Specialist include (but are not limited to) the following: 

• Working with our Creative + Content division, you will contribute to the social media accounts for a group of clients, with a focus on retail and lifestyle.
• Contribute to ideation and planning for social feeds, including planning content, writing captions, and scheduling posts.
• Create short-form video content using iPhone on behalf of our clients, with occasional travel to retail locations throughout the GTA for the purposes of content creation.
• Travel time to take place within regular business hours
• Leverage best practices for social and digital channels to bring forward new content ideas and test & learn opportunities for platforms including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.
• Manage Community Management with Coordinator/Intern support, ensuring questions, comments and DM’s are responded to across platforms for clients in a timely manner at various points throughout the day.
• Proven track record of driving organic reach, as well as knowledge of paid reach
• Experience with social media reporting and creating month end wrap reports, as well as active social listening and risk escalation
• Create and manage internal and external content creator relationships, creating content briefs, managing content deliverables and reviews, and ensuring seamless content distribution on appropriate channels
• Track hours and expenses

About you:

• You have 3 – 4+ years experience in Digital Media, Social Media Management, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• An adaptable writing style who can comfortably manage the social media accounts across a host of industries, including: finance, food & bev, hospitality, corporate, retail, beauty, fashion and more. 
• Strong interest and knowledge about the fashion and retail category
• You have an enthusiasm for content creation, short form video content, and timely-on trend social media posts.
• Demonstrated success or interest in building and growing audiences, community building, content marketing, social media strategies, and outreach.
• Strong social media graphic design abilities, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Excellent copywriting and caption-writing skills. Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar and editing abilities.
• Thrive in a collaborative working environment.
• Public speaking experience. You’re a natural with clients and can lead client calls, weekly ideation sessions, and reporting presentations with easy and subject mastery. 
• Experience with social media monitoring, reporting and with social media planning programs (Sprout Social, Later, Meltwater, Hootsuite, etc.)
• Excellent organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects within established deadlines. You have above par time management with an ability to manage multiple priorities, balance deadlines and pivot between multiple clients.
