Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. Looking for Financial Analyst at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Position Objective

The primary purpose of this position is to improve financial analysis and cost controls within Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. (PCL). The ideal candidate will work with the various departments to facilitate the implementation of controls and review procedures with a view to improve efficiencies in the company. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for evaluating cost drivers and trends of various PCL business units and to provide meaningful insight and address operational challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monthly report generation from the main ERP. Prepare monthly and quarterly analysis for key financial drivers. Supports the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Develops and administers production of monthly controlling and analysis reports and ensures appropriate submission to management.
• Reviews existing controls, provides recommendations and support for the implementation of additional financial controls across the organization.
• Documents business processes and monitor changes within the ERP System, including Zycus, and SAP to ensure effective procedural outcomes.
• Support in performing financial data entry into global consolidation and reporting tool.
• Prepares detailed reports and presentations which identify economic and financial trend analysis, opportunities for improved efficiencies, risk identification and mitigation as well as other significant contributions to operational improvements.
• Provides expert advice by demonstrating the understanding of full cycle accounting, and assists PCL business units with:
• Monthly budget tracking and resolution of P&L inquiries
• Preparation of ad hoc financial modelling analysis
• Support with annual budget preparation
• Collects operational data and provides analysis to identify cost drivers and budget variances.
• Act as an interface to Porsche Cars North America Inc. (PCNA) Shared Services team to ensure PCL projects and business processes are reflected operationally.
• Assists with the preparation and review of routine and special reporting requests from the CFO.

Anforderungen

Qualifications

Education

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or related discipline is required
• Appropriate post-university qualifications in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Controlling, Audit or Financial Consulting
• Candidates will be able to show their understanding of accounting principles and its application to their financial planning and analysis activities (CPA preferred)

Experience (Job And Industry)

• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a Financial Analyst role
• Automotive industry experience with an understanding of Importer functions preferred

Skills And Competencies

• Experience in and IFRS based environment – Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, Controlling, Audit or Financial Consulting
• Strong SAP knowledge and experience required
• Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is required
• German language skills are an asset, but not required
• Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities and make decisions independently
• Remains focused and energized under stress
• Organized and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
