Position Summary:
As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be required to assist the team with the daily operations of a Final Mile facility. Working closely with Management, Sorters, warehouse staff, Brokers, and Independent Owner Operators in a fast-paced environment.
As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be required to assist the team with the daily operations of a Final Mile facility. Working closely with Management, Sorters, warehouse staff, Brokers, and Independent Owner Operators in a fast-paced environment.

The successful incumbent will report to the Terminal Hub Manager located in Winnipeg, MB
Core Responsibilities:
Assists the team in booking loads, dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
Communicate with drivers (both Company and Owner Operators) daily regarding issues, schedules, dispatch instructions, etc.
Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of all activities and other information.
Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize the schedules.
Communicating dispatch information as required.
Build strong relationships with customers & carriers and the company’s 3PL group.
Communicate service issues as required and develop solutions.
Other duties and responsibilities as required by the company and or the terminal hub manager and direct supervisors.
Core Competencies:
Must have strong communication skills
Must have a strong understanding of Logistics and Supply chain management with a focus on customer service excellence.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and is comfortable connecting with many different people on a daily basis.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite Programs and Tools (Word, Excel, PPT)
Must be able to work in fast pace environment with an ability to stay organized and multi-task.
Must be highly organized.
2+ years’ experience in a dispatch environment within the Transportation/Logistics industry.
A college diploma or university degree in supply chain & logistics management, business or transportation administration is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Understanding of Ministry to Labor and Ministry of Transportation.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and understanding/experience operating warehouse tools and equipment is considered an asset
Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset*
