We are looking for a new team member to join our People, Culture and Operations (PC&O) Team in the Accounting and Project Administrator role. The PC&O Team delivers services and develops and implements policies, processes and systems related to people, office, projects, and accounting operations that contribute to Prism’s vibrant company culture.
About You
You are proactive and organized. You can plan, follow-up and meet deadlines, as well as adapt to shifting tasks and priorities. You are also analytical, and you pay close attention to detail. You have a strong customer service orientation and should be able to work with different levels and teams in the company.
For a few years, you have applied these in prior bookkeeping and/or project administration roles, preferably in engineering-related industries. You may also have the relevant academic foundation to support your work in these areas.
The Accounting and Project Administrator Role
Accounting and Project Administrators are vital contributors to the Project Coordination and Administration, Accounting (A/R and A/P), and other related operations functions at Prism and its sister company, PUMA Utility Monitoring, Inc. They support a combination of the PC&O Team’s functions and work closely with other members of PC&O, the Leadership Team, project and phase Managers, staff members, clients, and third-party providers. They report to the PC&O Team Leader.
Following are the essential job functions:
Project Administration
– Conduct team resource planning, allocate staff to project tasks and ensure that the resource plan is updated
– Set up and update data (e.g. tasks, budgets, resources) and statuses of projects and phases in the company’s
– Project Management information system, in coordination with project and phase Managers
– Generate various reports and insights, and conduct analytics to support project efficiency and executive
decision making

This is a 40-hour per week salaried position. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, working from our office in Burnaby or from home some days of the week.
