Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Data & Analytics who will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. The Successful candidate must have experience in hiring Data Analytics professionals. This position will report to the Talent And Candidate Engagement Lead and will not have any direct reports.

Major Areas of Responsibility

1. Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans

• Create and post job descriptions, efficiently and effectively fill open positions, conduct regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness recruiting plans and implementation, develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need, research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.

1. Networking

• Network through industry contacts, associations, trade groups and employees, assist the People & Culture team in establishing Project X as an employer of choice both internally and externally, attend local industry events, career fairs, networking events, etc., maintain communication with proactive/passive candidates for future opportunities.

1. Relationship Building

• Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale and source new candidates through referrals while also developing working relationships with colleges and associations to aid in recruiting efforts.

1. Administration and Record Keeping

• Conduct screening and in person interviews, maintain thorough documentation of job and candidate status, candidate and interview information, conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees, write and forward rejection letters to candidates, coordinate candidate interviews, assist in preparing and sending offer packages, assist in collecting data in cost per hire, time to hire, submittal to hire and turnover.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other

1. Detailed, practical working knowledge in full cycle recruitment, networking and sourcing
2. Experience in hiring Data Analytics Professionals (Example: Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Architects Etc)
3. General technical knowledge of: Business Intelligence, Big Data and the Data Warehousing space is a significant benefit. Experience in recruiting for technical talent with experience in MicroStrategy, Tableau, ETL, Cloudera would be an asset.
4. Above average verbal and written communication skills with the experience and ability to relate and interface with all levels of employees.
5. Our ideal candidate has the ability to build relationships and can effectively influence, motivate and negotiate offers of employment with candidates.Our incumbent is comfortable leadingmeetings and presentations, meeting deadlines and commitments,is results-driven, action-oriented and motivated by getting things across the finish line.
6. Demonstrated skills in delivering solution-based approaches to solving challenges, an ability to collaborate with internal teamsand collaborate with stakeholders to create optimal solutions will be welcome.

Required Education and Experience:

• Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, Business, or related topic or related industry experience.
• minimum of 2+ years of experience in technical recruitmentwith expertise in Boolean search and Social media recruitment via Linkedin recruiter / stack overflow etc.
• Ability to build cost effective sourcing plans using multiple level sourcing strategy and has an ability to leverage technology to source candidates.
• Previous experience working with Jazz ATS would be an asset.
