Quantropi is scaling up its Engineering team and is seeking an experienced Product Security Engineer to join us on this revolutionary and pioneering journey.

This role is a REMOTE position open to candidates within Canada. Must be a Canadian Citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada full-time.

Role Summary:

As Product Security Engineer, you will analyze our product software, development environment, and production implementations from a security perspective to identify and remediate security flaws and vulnerabilities. Your duties will include the appropriate security analysis and mitigation strategy at each phase of the software development lifecycle٫ resulting in a robust, reliable, hardened product.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with Product Engineering, QA, and Operations to implement secure-coding standards and best practices integrated into our Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
Review current and ongoing agile methods and tools to ensure security practices and procedures are followed at Quantropi across all stages of the SSDLC
Develop continuous security designs of Quantropi products, including Application Software, Software Development Kits (SDK), Product Infrastructure, Cloud Environments, etc.
Perform code reviews of all software and system elements to identify and remediate technical and procedural security flaws
Work with external security audits/penetration testers to execute 3rd party analysis and review and present action items as a prioritized list to product teams
Establish and manage the monitoring of security threats and events
Establish and manage vulnerabilities within 1st party code and systems and 3rd party code
Perform threat modeling, implement security controls, and establish secure coding practices
Review and address the ongoing external product security requirements for Quantropi services
Manage the backlog of Security enhancements as part of continuing Product development sprints
Participates in on-call rotation during incident response and analysis
Participates in Quantropi product development, including creating CI/CD and production deployment scripts, cloud security deployment, API testing, etc..

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Minimum five year’s experience in product and software security
Experience working as a Security practitioner as part of a commercial software platform engineering team and implementing secure development practices
Strong working knowledge of Cryptographic standards, Key Management, and Password Management systems
Proven leadership skills allow you to develop and mentor others and build credibility with the Quantropi team while executing broader security strategies.
Familiarity with senior stakeholders across the organization, both technical and non-technical, to develop roadmaps, integrate with more significant company initiatives, and deliver business and security value.
Knowledge and experience with core technologies/tools such as:
Versioning technologies
CI/CD tools (Github, Jira, Elastic)
Linux OS (primary OS, Ubuntu RedHat etc.)
Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android (secondary OSs)
Secure Programming across C (primary), Node.JS (primary), Python, etc
Micro-service development and framework (e.. Kubernetes, docker-compose)
Code security analysis tools eg. SNYK
Public Cloud: AWS (Primary), Azure, Google, IBM
Secure Containerization – Docker & Kubernetes
Micro-services and API Security
Build automation with Github
Vulnerability assessment tools eg. Rapid7, Qualys, etc
Internet infrastructure (eg. Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Nginx , etc)
Key Management Systems (KMS) and HSM (Hardware Security Module) on-prem and cloud-based
PKI software and certificate management
Cryptographic standards and implementations (RSA, AES, ECC, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60.00-$80.00 per hour
