What are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager with the ability to perform all Human Resources functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and Accounting Department on a variety of different tasks. They will be a member of a highly motivated, dynamic, multi-disciplined team that together will design and develop world-class automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with the Employment Standards Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
· Manage all aspects of employee relations and development
· Complete full cycle recruitment
· Administer compensation and benefits, as well as all aspects of Health and Safety
· Liaise with area learning centers and employment agencies marketing for potential new hires
· Manage apprenticeship and co-op programs through the Ministry of Education and Skills Development programs
· Monitor and administer Government Assistance applications related to hiring and training
· Maintain detailed job descriptions as well as current organization charts
· Manage employee information and personal files
· Complete WSIB and Benefit insurance claims
· Oversee the Joint Health and Safety committee – compliance, meetings, inspections etc.
· Initiate and track annual performance reviews with department Managers
· Coordinate company wide communications and social functions
Qualifications:
· 2 + years of Human Resources experience
· Ability to develop concise and well written policies, procedures and programs
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel
· Maintains a high degree of professionalism with respect to confidentiality
· Self driven
