Reporting to the Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Financial Stewardship: Dive deep into our business activities, gather insights, and calculate costs, all while preparing periodic reports
Control Master: Uphold and reinforce internal controls for our financial and operational processes
Month-end Virtuoso: Play a pivotal role in our monthly activities, managing deadlines, posting journal entries, and ensuring smooth closing modules
HST Maestro: Prepare and submit monthly HST reports with precision
Asset Guardian: Maintain fixed asset schedules and handle depreciation entries
Ledger Detective: Reconcile general ledger accounts and take proactive measures to correct discrepancies
Team Support: Assist in crafting monthly financial packages and inter-company reconciliations
Quarterly Harmony: Perform intra-group reconciliations quarterly and manage key reconciliation schedules for consolidation
Knowledge Sharer: Aid the Controller in guiding team members on sound accounting procedures and treatments
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement process enhancements
Audit Collaborator: Assist in external audit engagements
Ad Hoc Artisan: Craft ad hoc reports when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Foundation: A bachelor’s degree in business with an accounting major
Professional Edge: A professional accounting designation is a bonus
Financial Wizardry: An excellent grasp of accounting principles, procedures, and controls
Proven Path: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within construction or manufacturing
Self-Driven: Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines effectively
Team Player: Adept at collaborating with a diverse, multi-departmental team
Detail-Oriented: Precision is your second nature, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel and other computer tools is essential. Familiarity with Oracle and/or Infor Visual is a plus
Global Navigator: Previous experience in a multi-divisional, multi-currency company with inter-company transactions is advantageous
