RCGT Consulting is seeking a Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for aligning staff to business objectives, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development and creation of training content, enhancing recruitment efforts, planning strategic HR initiatives, running orientation, onboarding, and offboarding processes, communicating role expectations, designing succession plans, maintaining staff relations, managing internships, updating policies and practices, and overseeing the overall culture of RCGT and the health and wellness of its employees.
Responsibilities
Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Administrate the human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, morale; and training and development.
Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR and Health and Safety departments.
Oversee the duties and the development of the payroll administrator.
Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with provincial employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
Perform other duties as required.
Mandatories
Bilingual (French and English)
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
5+ years of experience leading a Human Resources department
7+ years of proven experience working with employment-related laws and regulations
7+ years of proven experience providing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous experience working with HR Information System (HRIS) and other relevant systems
Able to travel to other offices located in Gatineau and Ottawa
Strong experience working with Microsoft Office Suite Tools
Assets
CHRP or other relevant certification
