RDJ Bakeries Ltd is currently looking for an ESL Instructor to join our growing team. This position would start on a Part-Time basis, with the opportunity for more shifts throughout the week, depending on the success of the program.

Job purpose

Responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of the English Language to internal employees at RDJ Bakeries. The ESL Instructor will be able to facilitate the English courses and any workshops, while providing feedback to students and evaluate student performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare course materials prior to the lesson.
• Teach ESL in an engaging and creative manner.
• Create a supportive and positive learning environment.
• Give feedback in a productive manner.
• Encourage and drive participation.
• Develop and/or utilize a variety of teaching strategies/techniques and delivery methods to meet unique learning styles of students at a variety of ages.
• Inform students of course requirements, evaluations, and policies.
• Communicate with students in a calm, friendly and patient manner.
• Able to effectively communicate course material to a multi-cultural environment.
• Communicate course material to the Communications and Event Planner prior to the lesson.
• Develop an interest and professional relationship with students to check-in on their well-being and ensure they are retaining information.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Fluent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have prior experience in an English related field.
• Degree or Diploma related to English is preferred.
• Adult education and teaching experience is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

Working conditions

• Always work indoors.
• Regular day and time of operations weekly.
