Our client, a leading mechanical engineering design and procurement firm of heavy industrial machinery situated in the Montreal area is looking for an intermediate to senior Mechanical Designer-Drafter. Within a team of mechanical engineers, stress analysts and other drafters, you will be responsible for the detail design and drafting of the conceptual and shop drawings and bills of material of their heavy machinery.
You will need at least 5 years of practical experience in mechanical drafting of industrial products in an engineering environment, Solidworks and Autocad 2D. Preferred attributes are: aerospace or hydro turbines experience, knowledge of casting and weldments, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
