Red Nucleus is hiring a Sr Medical Writer, Team Lead to join our global team! This role is hybrid (1-2 times a week) based out of our Toronto office.

The Senior Medical Writer, Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day management, motivation, and mentorship of a team of dedicated medical writers and editors, working on multiple projects types, including applications for mobile devices, e-learning modules, animations, conference exhibits and medical games, all within the healthcare space.
As a Team Lead, the successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for team members within a defined business line. In this capacity, they will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, encourage effective team communication and collaboration, and engage the team in a manner that promotes excellence across all projects and goals.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of both new and ongoing projects within their business line, including assigning Medical Writers to various projects, ensuring proper task details are communicated at appropriate times, as well as overseeing and reviewing work completed by individual team members. As a Senior Medical Writer, the candidate will also research, create and edit their own copy for a diverse group of pharmaceutical and medical device clients, while providing ongoing support for projects owned by their team members to ensure timelines and quality are maintained. Key responsibilities also include strategy development, working with Key Opinion Leaders/physicians, participation in client workshops, and oversight of junior writers/editors.
