We are looking for an experienced Controller of Finance to join our team growing team of accounting professionals for our portfolio of businesses. Our ideal candidate is a Business Leader who is a driving force behind the Company’s growth plan. As a core leader in the Company, this role oversees the company’s financial health, provides valuable insights and reporting, drives continuous process improvement, develops leadership, and upholds our culture of accountability and excellence.
Principle Accountabilities
Leadership
Develops employee knowledge, capacity and capability in the finance/accounting team pipeline and forges the future leaders of the business. Applies Renewal by Andersen’s values and fosters a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.
Financial Systems and Process Design
Assesses, develops, and implements process controls that ensure access to timely and accurate reporting that assists strategic decision making.
Culture
Leads by example and drives the understanding that our decisions are made on the collaboration-based framework that “Everybody Wins” and ensures all Finance Team members promote the culture internally.
Business Insight and Analysis
Provides strategic insights into opportunities for enhanced organizational performance.
Technology
Identifies suitable options for technology tools to help drive efficiency of our process and reporting structures. As part of this, work with senior leadership to effectively change manage technological process improvements.
Compliance
Ensures our companies adhere to compliance standards at the local, provincial, state and federal levels. Manages major risk factors in compliance work and drives strategy to ensure major opportunities are leveraged.
You’re right for this role if you have the following:
- 10 years of experience in industry, public practice experience considered a plus.
- Leadership experience including developing and management of remote teams.
- Excellent business judgement, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse leadership team by building strong partnerships.
- Executive level communication skills.
- Ability to digest financial concepts and diagnose issues for actionable change.
