Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, solutions-focused, and creative individual to join our Sales & Marketing team. This position is responsible for growing sales in different provinces of Canada. Working collaboratively with the Sales team, the position is accountable for building relationship with th Health Services Authorities, for the acquisition of new customers and increasing sales to their current customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Sales Growth
Create a detailed tactical sales plan for the region of responsibility to increase the customer base in Canada as well as to ensure profitable sales to new customers.
Work closely with the Health Service Authorities (HSAs) nationally to ensure our visibility into their procurement structure and create the connections to participate in the deals/tenders with a high win ratio.
Generate and communicate predictable sales forecasts for the region and support setting the product pricing for the region.
Maintain forecast accuracy of 90% for deals within 90 days.
Ensure the pipeline of deals is maintained at the size required to predict sales growth accurately.
Strategic Relationship Management
Partner strategically with the key contact points at the HSAs and demonstrate sincere interest in helping them achieve their own goals, which in turn will drive success for Response.
Represent Response at trade shows, customers engagements and participate in the development of sales relationships.
Administration
Thoroughly maintain SalesForce.com data for all opportunities and accounts.
Clearly communicate sales progress at the Sales Communication meeting.
Maintain up to date lists of current customers in each region in priority sequence.
Proactively manage the tendering process in each region to increase our win ratio.
Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Formal Education
A Bachelor’s degree in science, business or other related area required.
Work Experience
7 years of experience in in vitro diagnostics/medical device sales role.
Possesses a network and strong relationships in the region of responsibility and experience in selling point of care diagnostic or lab-based diagnostic devices.
With specific knowledge of the Canadian Market and the Health Service Authorities (HSAs) .
Has significant experience managing HSAs and building relationships at different levels in these organizations.
Having specific experience with HSAs’ diagnostic laboratories division.
Proven experience handling RFPs.
Skills & Knowledge

Expresses strong personal values that fit with Response’s vision, values and culture.
Is technically savvy and can conduct a medical sale.
Demonstrable evidence of working successfully within a framework of quantifiable sales KPIs including bookings, revenue, pipeline management, sales cycle, win ratio and forecasting.
Demonstrable evidence of effective net new customer prospecting and business development for direct end user.
Demonstrable evidence of successfully growing existing customer base revenues.
Demonstrable evidence of successfully working on tenders with direct end customers.
Demonstrable evidence of fully utilizing a formal CRM system, preferably salesforce.com, for company reporting and personal productivity.
Demonstrable evidence of successfully working with a formal sales methodology and process.
Is a confident speaker and comfortable representing the Response to external customers with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Is resourceful and organized.
Ability to communicate in more than one language (English and French) is an asset.
Willingness and ability to travel 25-50% of each year.
