HR MANAGER – Fox Group Canada
Position Overview
The HR Manager is responsible to partner with the HR Functional lead and the Operations business leaders within the assigned Territory to identify needs and determine effective Human Resources strategies, programs, and services to address them.
The HR Manager will be responsible for all Human Resource related matters within the Territory including recruitment, compensation practices, benefits, employee relations, succession planning/development, absence management, training and compliance to applicable laws and regulations for each of the countries/provinces within the Territory.
This position will be based in our Head Office and reports directly to the HR Director, with dotted line to the Territory V.P. Canada.
Main Accountabilities:
Consultation/Partnership: Consults with business leaders to identify needs, analyze metrics, and adjusts strategy in support of business objectives. Collaborates in the implementation of human resources tactics and programs.
Staffing: Partners with the business leaders in the design, development, and execution of staffing strategies that ensure the attraction and selection of high potential talent and achieve appropriate staffing levels.
Talent Planning & Development: Facilitates succession/bench planning sessions to identify future bench, gaps in talent base, and at-risk performers. Collaborates with business leaders on employee development needs and bench planning decisions. Assists leaders with development plans for key talent to improve readiness levels and further career progression.
Positive Employee Relations/Retention: Consults with business leaders to foster and promote store environments consistent with company culture & values. Provides investigation and consultation support to business leaders addressing Health and Safety concerns, employee relations, employee conduct, and performance issues, including the application of company policies and employment laws. Manages the investigation process for employment-related claims. Ensure compliance with local and country employment laws and regulations.
Employee Advocacy: Serves as an advocate on behalf of employees . Solicits and listens to employees’ concerns and takes an active role in resolving problems. Provides information about benefits, compensation, training and other Human Resources programs and services.
Key Initiative Execution: Analyzes Human Resources program activity/effectiveness, conducts additional research and analysis as needed, and prepares reports and makes presentations. Facilitates delivery of HR program content and training within territory and broader audiences, as appropriate.
