If you’re looking for work in the Light Manufacturing industry, where you will perform various administrative and office support duties, you might be the results-oriented Administrative Assistant Robert Half is looking for! This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in the Richmond Hill, Ontario area, so Administrative Assistant candidates looking for that kind of arrangement are encourage to apply. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in administrative tasks, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Office, and possess strong data analysis skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the management team to seamlessly take charge of assigned tasks and complete them from start to finish.
2. Manage the transition of all Telus mobile services to Rogers, including shifting employees to Rogers for in-house phones, internet, and cellular services.
3. Prepare and send out packages for larger contracts, ensuring each package is accompanied by a professionally crafted cover letter.
4. Perform data analysis on manufacturing and other relevant data, presenting insights through well-structured spreadsheets for higher-ups to assess and analyze costs effectively.
5. Work on new software related to customer service, fine-tuning data, and making necessary corrections for optimal performance.
6. Answer phones intermittently and handle inquiries professionally.
7. Utilize Webmaster software for shipping small packages to designers or contractors, following the established shipping procedures (training will be provided).
8. Perform data entry and corrections in QuickBooks, with training provided for this specific task.
Requirements:
– Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Office.
– Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills.
– Ability to work independently with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
– Detail-oriented with a proactive and “take charge” attitude.
– Ability to adapt to new software and systems quickly.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
