Our flourishing and forward thinking client in Ottawa, Ontario is looking to add a dynamic and multi-faceted Controller to their team. Our client is looking for a Controller who has the leadership and analytical skills to help ensure the organization continues to meet and surpass industry needs and assist in their organizations continued success. As the Controller you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to financial reporting, budget forecasting and preparation, health and benefits administration as well as, supporting, training and supervising a team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working with others and being hands-on in their work.

This is an on-site permanent opportunity located in Ottawa’s west-end and offers bonus incentives.

Responsibilities:
– Budget forecasting and reporting
– Insurance, health and benefits administration
– Cost Accounting and Cash Flow Management
– Financial reporting, including quarterly, monthly and year-end
– Leading, training and mentoring team members
– Reviewing current organizational financial processes and developing them to aid in the continued success of the organization
– Reviewing of general accounting tasks such as payroll, journal entries and accounts receivable
– Account reconciliations

Qualifications:
– CPA Professional designation
– 4+ years of relevant work experience
– Superior leadership abilities
– Outstanding attention to detail
– Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
– Experience using Maestro, Viewpoints or similar software considered an asset
– Strategic thinker, ability to see a future vision for the organization
