Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with a focus on transactional operations to join our client. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual in the early stages of the CPA program who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, contributing to the smooth operation of our accounting functions.
Your key responsibilities:
– Execute day-to-day financial transactions, including processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
– Ensure accuracy in recording financial data and maintain organized documentation.
– Contribute to the month-end close process by assisting in the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
– Collaborate with team members to streamline transactional workflows.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to support transactional aspects of operational activities.
– Resolve discrepancies in financial records and provide necessary documentation.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
– Assist in the preparation of routine financial reports as needed.
– Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and ensure adherence to established procedures.
– Support internal and external audits by providing transactional documentation.
– Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency of transactional accounting operations.
– Participate in the implementation of new tools or systems to streamline transactional workflows.
Your key qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Enrolled in or completed coursework towards CPA certification.
– 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on transactional operations.
– Familiarity with accounting principles and basic financial reporting.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactional processing.
– Organized and efficient in managing day-to-day financial tasks.
– Effective communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Eagerness to learn and adapt to transactional challenges.
