Rob’s Excavation & Property Maintenance is an excavation, landscape and property maintenance company. We specialize in all aspects ranging from the design and planning to implementation. We are seeking a seasonal full-time labourer to join our team, compensation negotiable based on your level of experience. With the opportunity to advance within the company.
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour.
- Reporting to project managers on project progress and addressing any project concerns
- Assist in determining the method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, and work schedule, and document hours worked.
- Be highly organized and efficient in keeping daily schedules current
- Ensure that drawings and specifications are being properly followed to a high standard of quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment
- Follow and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety Act, as well as company Health & Safety & Employee Policies
Required Knowledge & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in construction
- Have a valid Driver’s License, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel to multiple job sites throughout Kingston/Napanee and surrounding areas.
- Quick learner and able to listen and follow directions
- Strong communication and time management skills. Able to handle a wide variety of tasks and demands
- Trade skills such as rough/finish carpentry, forming, equipment operation etc. are considered an asset
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Yarker, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- construction: 2 years (preferred)
