Rohit Group Of Companies Looking for Site Superintendent at Calgary, Alberta, Canada Full Time

This role will provide on-site coordination for all phases of multi-family apartment construction projects. You will be tasked with ensuring specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

What will you do?

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure on-time completion.
• Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed.
• Ensure that work is completed as per approved IFC drawings, Approved Shop Drawings, Site Instructions and Specifications.
• Ensure that trades are in compliance with Site Safety requirements as per ROHIT safety policy and OHS requirements.
• Communicate with project team regarding Change Orders.
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
• Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
• Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future scheduling.
• Establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction.
• Schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed.
• All other related duties and responsibilities as required.

What do we look for?

• Minimum of five years of verifiable experience in four / six story wood frame construction with parkades.
• Thorough knowledge of construction scheduling, trade scopes and must be computer literate.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project& Outlook) is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or colleagues within the organization.
