OVERVIEW
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work within our leading Aquatics division, collaborating with the brand team, regional marketers, graphic designers and external agency to ensure our website and digital marketing efforts remain relevant to fish hobbyists. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, well organized, self-motivated and willing to try new things. Main responsibilities include:
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
- Develop and execute plans for building online brand awareness and database growth (i.e ads, contests, promotions).
- Manage E-marketing calendar to ensure global alignment across our online branded activities.
- Coordinate website updates and new landing page builds.
- Maintain library of web-based content, tools, files and related applications.
- Audit Google Analytics to implement changes that enhance user experience and site traffic.
- Produce website reports to validate ROI and guide future budget allocation.
- Ensure SEO best practices are optimized in collaboration with the web agency.
- Keep informed of the latest web standards and trends to make suggestions for improvement.
EMAIL MARKETING
- Develop consumer newsletter and Email campaigns, including list segmentation, content coordination, automation, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Post-Secondary education in Digital Media, Web Development or equivalent combination of education and experience with relevant certifications
- 3+ years of experience in a website coordination role
- Advanced experience:
- Content management systems (WordPress)
- Email marketing platforms
- Salesforce (or similar CRM)
- Google Suite (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager)
- SEO/SEM best practices
- Social media platforms/advertising
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset (Photoshop, Illustrator)
