SUMMARY

Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician – Shotpeen; who will be reporting to the Supervisor, as the Process Technician, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the shot peening process as required.

Work Type: Onsite at Oakville facility – Ontario

Work Shift: Weekend Nights Shift (Friday to Sunday – 6:00 pm to 6:00 am).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shot peening aircraft components during the manufacturing process;

• Shot peen parts per process techniques, operation sketches and special handler instructions, to include, but not limited to loading/unloading of shot peen machines and airflow, intensity and pressure techniques

• Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements

• Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping

• Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

• Perform other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum requirements include Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

• 2 years of related manufacturing experience

• Eligible to work in Canada, Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous formal crane training.

• Demonstrated experience with shot peening

• Strong PC skills

• Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to work well in a team
