The role: Director of Business Development
Location: Markham, Ontario
Hybrid business model: 2-3 days a week in office (flexible)
Our client is an industry leading direct mail and fulfillment company which operates a sister company focused on marketing and gift boxes. They have a great reputation for creating exceptional client and employee appreciation gifts which can be completely customized. Our client is now ready to launch their third arm of the business focused on disrupting and bringing innovation to the Promotional and Incentives industry in Canada.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for building the Promotional and Incentive Division and help shape and develop it from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the company’s success and play a significant role in shaping its future. As a creative individual with superior business development skills, you’ll have the chance to drive new revenue while shaping the division’s vision, strategy, and operational framework and, in time, grow a team and step into the VP of Sales role for this division.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales within the Promotional Products and Incentives industry
- Experience creating and developing unique and engaging campaigns
- Hunting experience: cold calling, prospecting via email, and pitching/presenting ideas
- A ‘Seasoned veteran’ of the Promotional & Incentives industry with a great depth of knowledge in the space
Responsibilities
- Business Development and driving new sales from $0 to $1M (working with a book of business and warm leads)
- Customer service
- Project management
- High level strategy & innovation, working directly with the president
Compensation
- 6 figure compensation package with a specific range to be determined based on experience and interview performance
- Minimum first year guaranteed income of $150k CAD
