In this role, you will be working directly with the Backup Radar Team as part of the ScalePad organization.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it.
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to take our ScalePad & Backup Radar solution to the next level. As a Sales Engineer you will be working with our sales teams, both pre- and post-sale. Your technical expertise will add value to the conversations when prospective customers need to overcome technical objections before moving forward. Your role will be to establish an understanding of the prospect’s needs, and instil confidence in the products and people of Backup Radar and ScalePad.
Responsibilities:
Working in lockstep pre-sale with our internal Sales Executive and post-sale with our Sales Managers to provide technical and product expertise.
Jumping into a call or demo at a moment’s notice, take the wheel and totally change direction using your technical expertise and knowledge of our product’s inner workings.
Gain unique insights into how tens of thousands of IT professionals operate.
Build a strong rapport with customers and prospects to understand their technical needs
Customize your delivery of Backup Radar and Scale Pad products to focus on the features that will bring them most value
Drive onboarding/adoption of the platform through your interactions with users.
Champion our products by being the bridge between each products capabilities and our sales teams
Internal training of new feature releases to ensure our sales teams kept fresh
Participate in our product’s go-to-market strategies
Comfortable recording short scenario-based product demo videos
Comfortable participating on customers webinars
Qualifications:
3 to 4 years of experience in a technical role
Have exceptional verbal and written communication ability (you need to be fluent and highly proficient in English)
Can empathize with users and quickly grasp their technical workflows
Have a good understanding of various IT concepts
Enjoy talking about technical concepts, have great analytical skills, and be comfortable explaining technically complicated topics.
Are adaptive and have no problem constantly learning about a changing technical product, even when it’s a little out of your depth.
Familiarity with the MSP tool stack including PSA and RMM platforms is an asset
Experience presenting to prospective MSPs as well as end-users an asset
