Scarborough Transit Connect Looking for Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Who We Are:

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) has been awarded the design and early works of the Scarborough Subway Extension project. The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.

The Scarborough Transit Connects (STC) Human Resources department has a new opening in the Scarborough office for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner (TABP). The TABP will play a key role in attracting and retaining top talent within STC. They will work closely with the business unit leads to understand their staffing needs and provide their expert guidance throughout the recruitment process.

What You Will Do:

• Conduct full life-cycle recruitment for all open roles across the operating sector. This includes sourcing, recruitment, screening resumes, conducting telephone screens, interviewing, reference checks, composing and extending job offers.
• Sourcing and screening candidates through a variety of channels, such as job boards, LinkedIn recruiter, social media, community outreach/relations and employee referrals.
• Guiding candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a smooth onboarding experience in partnership with the HR Business Partnering team.
• Proactively building a talent pipeline for future opportunities.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify competencies required for roles, assist and consult on the development of job descriptions and ensuring job postings attract the intended profile and generate a high degree of interest.
• In conjunction with the HR Business Partnering team, make compensation related recommendations to the hiring manager in line with the Company’s job structure.
• Develop a deep understanding of the projects staffing needs, goals, and priorities.
• Collaborate with hiring managers, business partner and Human Resources to develop and implement recruitment strategies and build brand-awareness that align with the operating sector goals and objectives.
• Consult with hiring managers and HR Business Partnering team to provide updates on the labor market, candidate availability, sourcing methods, recruitment risks, relocation packages and more.
• Identify opportunities for process-improvement, share best practices and support the change management in partnership with operational HR.
• Utilize recruitment data, tools and metrics to gain valuable insights into recruitment trends and incorporate into overall recruitment strategies.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude and a professional focus.

Experience You Will Bring:

• 5+ years of recruitment experience, including 2+ years leading end-to-end efforts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that enable you to clearly communicate with different audiences, stakeholders, and end-users, including making recommendations and influencing outcomes.
• Experience developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
• Exceptional organization and emerging project management skills with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• You’re a collaborative self-starter and creative problem solver who identifies opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues by analyzing and evaluating possible solutions.
• Demonstrated ability using MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media platforms to identify and engage with top talent.
