Founded on December 23, 2016 and incorporated on January 20, 2017, SCOTT CONCRETE SERVICES INC., is a privately owned full-service concrete contractor that provides a service specific to reinforced concrete foundations, footings and floors. We pride ourselves with our vast experience and the ability to perform all aspects of Concrete Construction from Concrete Footings and Foundations to Concrete Floors; Concrete Slabs; Structural Concrete; Custom Forming; Rebar Installation and Excavation, regardless of complexity, in any part of North America or abroad.
General Description:
We are currently searching for an experienced Concrete Site Supervisor to work at our construction sites in Northern Ontario, creating forms for cement foundations, walls, and other construction works. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years’ experience in the trade with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role. In this position, there is a possibility of interprovincial travel to other job sites with similar work scopes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build, erect and remove structural deck, wall and column forms
· Prepare layouts
· Utilize tools such as planes, saws, drills and sanders to complete daily tasks
· Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications
· Provide supervision to apprentices and other construction workers
· Maintain a safe and professional work site at all times
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Minimum of seven years’ experience working in carpentry, concrete and general construction
· Minimum of three years’ experience working in a supervisory role
· Production mentality is a must in this role
· Must have in-depth knowledge of concrete forming
· Able to work at heights
· Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· High awareness of health and safety practices
· Working at heights training
· Elevated work platform ticket
· Valid G driver’s license with own vehicle is preferred
