Position Summary
Working within the Education Department, Lalme’ Iwesawtexw (Seabird Island Community School), Under the direction of the Principal, the Secondary and Post-Secondary Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination, promotion, and administration of the Secondary and Post-Secondary Program. The Secondary and Post-Secondary Coordinator will identify barriers, develop relationships, coordinate assigned events, budgets, payments, and services offered by the program. Work one-on-one with secondary and potential post-secondary students to support and mentor them on their journey to post-secondary education, through planning career goals and advocating for their continued success. The Coordinator will support a culture of learning, through organizing community meetings, creating relationships, participating in awards, hosting workshops, and working with other teams in the company to support and celebrate students.
This position will provide support in a work environment that is conducive to teamwork and efficiently delivers services to students as part of the Education, College, and Schools team. While a considerable degree of time and attention are given to the day-to-day administration of the Post-Secondary Support program, this position is part of the College team and may aid Seabird College when necessary.
