Securiguard is currently looking for Security Guards at Healthcare facilities in Durham Region- Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Port Perry and Bowmanville.
This position is a rapid response position, starting the shift at a healthcare facility in Oshawa with the potential for deployment at five healthcare locations in the Durham region. This is a full-time position with continental availability.
As a security guard, you will contribute to the safety and security of patients and all other healthcare stakeholders. Your role will include responding to codes, conducting patrols and providing integral support to healthcare staff. You may also be required to liaise with various law enforcement agencies from time to time.
We are looking for licensed security guards with patience, compassion and empathy who want to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and staff. We will provide all additional training including Crisis Management, Effective Communications, Management of Resistant Behaviour, Mental Health Awareness and additional healthcare training. Schedule: FT Days/Nights, continental
Pay: $18.00-$19.00
Requirements
- Full-time availability (continental shifts)
- Drivers License and access to a vehicle
- Strong communication skills in English
- Customer service skills
- Valid Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to complete accurate and detailed report writing
- Previous security experience in healthcare industry would be an asset
- Police Foundations, Community Justice Services or Law Enforcement Diploma would be an asset
