Position: Accounting Technician

The salary for this position ranges from $60K to $70K, based on experience, insurance covered by employer, up to 3 weeks of vacations, RRSP, parking, gym and other benefits. As an Accounting Technician, your responsibilities will include monthly bank reconciliations for various legal entities, periodic GST/PST filings, and the preparation and coordination of all government/regulatory filings. You will also be responsible for preparing payments, maintaining investment portfolio transactions, and assisting with monthly accruals and journal entries for the closing of the general ledger and books. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a systematic and organized filing system for the documents and files of all the legal entities.
To be considered for this position, you should have a College or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or relevant experience. At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience is required, with at least 2 years of experience in Canada. Bilingualism to communicate with clients and suppliers in other provinces of Canada and the U.S. You should also possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel.
