Our client is looking to add to their team a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks.

In this role, reporting to the chief analyst, you will lead all financial reporting activities in the division. You will be responsible for the harmonization of the accounting practices, and will ensure continued improvements in relation with financial reporting and disclosure within the division and will take care of closing the quarter and the year end.
Good to know:

– Permanent position located in Montreal East
– 37.5 hours per week, with occasional overtime
– Salary ranging up to $95K plus bonus
– 4 weeks of vacation, pension

Responsibilities:

– Coordinate the financial accounting activities, prepare financial statements
– Prepare with precision accounting transactions and assist with month-end activities
– Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records and safeguarding of corporate assets
– Maintain an appropriate internal control environment
– Participate in the budgeting process and provide financial information and consultation to departmental heads
– Provide financial guidance to the division and ensure established policies and procedures are adhered to
– Be actively involved in the continuous improvement of all related business processes
– Coordinate the month-end process and other shared accounting activities

What you need to succeed in this role:

– Bachelor’s degree of Commerce with a professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA)
– At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
– Experience with financial statement presentation, interim and annual reports – an asset
– Enthusiasm, motivation, and good team spirit
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– Strong leadership skills, autonomy and integrity
– Advanced knowledge of Excel
