Our client is hiring! We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician to join a young and dynamic environment.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing various payroll-related tasks in accordance with established rules, procedures, and policies. If you’re a motivated professional with a desire to thrive, we want to hear from you!
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
– At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the unionized CCQ construction sector
– Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions
– Excellent knowledge of compensation laws, payroll processes, and human resources
– Team spirit with excellent collaboration skills
– Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities effectively
– Proactive approach and problem-solving skills
Main Responsibilities:
– Receive and validate documents for accuracy, and input data into the management system (Maestro)
– Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to process payroll for the company’s small division
– Analyze hours compilation reports and ensure accuracy
– Generate online employment records
– Handle government payments (DAS, CSST, alimony, etc.)
– Manage employee file openings and updates
– Respond to various inquiries related to payroll, collective agreements, and relevant laws
