Role Overview:
As a Release Manager, you will spearhead the Release Management process, overseeing the planning, scheduling, coordination, and communication of production releases. Additionally, you will take the lead in managing the release management team, providing mentorship for day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
– Champion the Release Management process, encompassing planning, scheduling, coordination, and communication of production releases
– Lead and nurture the release management team, offering guidance for their daily operational tasks
– Define comprehensive methods of procedure, including pre-tasks, implementation plans, post-tasks, and roll-back plans for production releases
– Proactively identify and address Release Management-related risks by applying effective risk management strategies.
– Collaborate with test specialists to prioritize defects and ensure their timely resolution
– Coordinate and communicate all environment refresh activities, ensuring timely outage notifications to impacted teams and stakeholders
– Act as a liaison between third-party vendors to identify process gaps and formulate recommendations and roadmaps for project automation
– Foster collaboration between third-party development teams and internal test specialists to streamline defect assignment and actionability
– Maintain strict adherence to the defects management process within the HP ALM application, including defining defect severity levels
– Ensure the implementation of entry and exit criteria for all testing levels, following established processes
– Uphold timely management of defects within the HP ALM application and expedite issue resolution
Requirements:
– Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a Release Manager
– Proficiency with HP ALM or Jira
Additional Information:
