We are looking for a fixed equipment mechanic who knows how to recognize first quality service and who can make this concept a reality. This person plays a vital role in our team, which runs some of the most efficient and cost-effective data centers in the industry.
Requirements:
– DEP in fixed machinery mechanics
– At least 2 years of hands-on experience, preferably five, in maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems
– Competency cards must be up to date
– Proven knowledge of operating, maintaining, repairing, inspecting and testing one or more systems such as critical electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, and building management and automation equipment – cooling systems
– Experience with cooling systems especially knowledge of common concepts, practices and processes related to the mechanical and electrical systems required to operate data centers (Great Asset for data center)
– Available for 10 weeks of daytime training
Responsibilities:
– Operate critical systems (UPS, PDUs, diesel generators, automatic transfer equipment, building controls, chillers, computer room air handling units, etc.) and perform maintenance and repairs on them
– Generate and maintain reliability reports to meet capacity targets and 100% availability rate
– Coordinate and monitor the work of maintenance service providers to ensure personnel safety, protect critical facility equipment, and maintain critical load power
– Create the necessary work methods, standard operating procedures, and emergency procedures that all maintenance activities will need to adhere to
