Job Description:
· Support the full recruitment cycle including scheduling interviews for prospective candidates, participate in interviews with supervisors, job postings and track the recruitment process.
· Support the onboarding program including offer letters and other HR required documentation, orientation and internal new hire communication with scheduling and payroll.
· Liaise with other departments or functions.
· Review performance evaluations and other reports and creating summaries for the HR Director.
· Track and support HR functions such as leave of absences, accommodations, sick, disability and WSIB.
· Assist employees with questions and provide necessary training.
· Ability to interpret the collective agreement and apply it accordingly
· Coach leadership on union requirements
· Assist the HR team in implementing company programs and projects to increase morale, provide a positive employee experience and to support the organizations growth and development
· Complete day-to-day HR related tasks.
· Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests and provide assistance.
· Maintaining records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
· Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain the team’s agenda.
· Responsible for maintenance of employee files and documentation
Qualifications
· Must have a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources
· Have CHRP or CHRL designation or be CHRP qualified
· Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
· High degree of integrity
· Ability to build relationship at all levels of the organization and the union
· Knowledge in Microsoft Suite
· Knowledge of the employment legislation including Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights and AODA
