Sheridan College Looking for Project Coordination Support Officer (Part-Time Temporary) at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Reporting to the Director, Human Development S-Sense, the Project Coordination Support Officer provides multiple levels of assistance to support the project coordination and implementation of Sheridan’s S-Sense program. S-Sense is a program designed to help individuals become more resilient, confident, and able to adapt. Emphasis for this position will be to support the integration of S-Sense throughout Sheridan, in particular with students and student groups. The incumbent plays an important role in planning, decision-making, and organizational processes. The incumbent will take responsibility for organizing and co-ordinating events, activities, requirements of the S-Sense team, and supports with coordinating with stakeholders from throughout Sheridan.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitoring and updating the project plan, ensuring that deliverables are being met within timelines;
• Using initiative and creative thinking to identify strategies for S-Sense integration throughout the Sheridan community and bring them forward to the team;
• Supporting in research activities (e.g., focus groups, consultations, literature reviews,) through writing summary reports, transcription, synthesis of information;
• Collaborating with Sheridan stakeholders to support moving project implementation forward (e.g., Events, Student Leadership and Development, Library and Learning Services);
• Supporting in the preparation, editing, and proofing correspondence, such as invoices, presentations, reports, and related materials as required;
• Coordinating the logistics required for activities conducted throughout all Sheridan campuses (e.g., rooms, catering, speakers, planning tools, signage etc.);
• Monitoring and responding to correspondence professionally to all Sheridan community members including students, staff, faculty, and senior leaders;
• Supporting all administrative components of S-Sense and the S-Sense team (e.g., meetings, supplies, scheduling, timesheets);
• Performing other related duties, as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Will Also Meet The Following Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Education, Psychology, or related in Social Sciences or Humanities;
• 1 year experience in project management and/or support;
• 2 years experience working within post-secondary environments within student, faculty, or staff programming;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word;
• Self-directed, resourceful and enthusiastic;
• Exceptional organizational skills; ability to prioritize, track multiple projects, and meet deadlines with high quality results;
• Post-graduate certificate in project management or PMP designation or equivalent considered an asset;
• Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research, writing research proposals, writing research reports, and/or research project management within a research laboratory considered an asset.

Department: Office of the Provost and Vice President (S-Sense)

Campus Location: HMC (may be assigned activities at any Sheridan campus). This position is currently hybrid with minimum 2 days per week on campus (may fluctuate depending on events and activities).

Employee Group: Part-Time Support – Temporary

Hourly Rate: $30.64 + 4% in lieu of benefits and vacation

Hours/Week: 24
