Job purpose
The Freelance Artist / Beauty Ambassador is responsible for executing successful events and sales support in various retailers while representing the brands in terms of customer service, artistry, creating an experience, image, passion and productivity. This role incorporates the following brands: Shiseido, NARS Cosmetics, Laura Mercier, bareMinerals, Buxom and select fragrances (Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake and Tory Burch).
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales and Account Executive to execute in-store events and launches.
- Effectively communicate with clients and identify their product needs contributing to a superior beauty experience.
- Promote our products by presenting product features and benefits through product knowledge, makeup application, skincare and fragrance consultation.
- Provide sales support during events or launches to help achieve sales goals.
- Conduct and/or participate in various special events, marketing and promotional activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Flexible and able to travel within region to different retailers.
- Provide well-articulated tips and tricks for new collections.
- Be an impactful presence in stores whether it be sales support days or an event.
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills.
- Experience with makeup artistry and retail selling.
- Proven track record of successful sales results.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including weekends.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Excellent makeup artistry skills and knowledge of skincare and fragrance.
- Experience in Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart and/or Hudson’s Bay is an asset.
