Who we are.
Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures is a proud Indigenous owned and operated construction company based within Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation traditional territory in Hope, BC. We work on various projects including with our industry-leading partners, to deliver high-quality construction services throughout the Fraser Valley and beyond.
The opportunity
Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures is looking for great candidates to join our team in a Laborer position. This is the entry-level position within our construction crew, but we will be continuously investing in your training, skills development, and mentorship. Do you think you could run some heavy equipment? Lead a crew? The opportunity will be there for you with Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures as you gain valuable experience within your role.
Our Laborers get their hands dirty and perform work outside in all weather conditions, rain or shine. Some examples of what you might be doing on any given day: clearing Right of Way, site preparation, locating underground utilities, hand excavation, general pipeline construction activities, site clean-up/restoration, operating hand tools including chainsaws, and fueling equipment. Of course, there will be other miscellaneous work for you to do as well—but we will ensure you are trained and certified to do each job safely and provide you with the tools to do so. But two things we can guarantee: you won’t be bored, and you will be a part of a great crew that works hard and does great work.
Our compensation is competitive and we offer a great benefits program (including drugs, vision care, dental, and disability) once you have been with us for three months.
