Provide guidance, coaching support and counsel to people leaders to increase their leadership effectiveness.
Support the operations team with full cycle recruitment needs to ensure adequate resourcing requirements are met in a timely manner.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Support the payroll administration process by liaising with payroll team to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
Plan and organize training sessions, seminars, meetings, individual training plans to support individual growth and to support company strategy.
Support leaders with policy interpretation and employment law matters.
Manage employee disability claims, workplace accommodations, and return to work plans, in conjunction with insurers.
Manage required documentation for events throughout the employee lifecycle including new hires, leaves of absences, benefits changes, transfers, and exits.
Investigate and respond to general employee and manager concerns or inquiries.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Work closely with global HR team and HRSSC to deliver programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels.
Assist with the implementation of Global organization-wide HR projects and initiatives, including change management and communication plans.
Utilize Workday system for management of employee data, organizational structure, performance management cycle, absence management and learning portal.
Keep abreast of market, industry and HR trends to support the development of people strategies.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to daily management of employees
Assist management in conflict resolution.
Set standards for ethics, values and culture of company.
Onboard new employees and manage immigration documents, taxes and benefits packages.
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field
5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably as an HR generalist
Strong organization, communication and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to onboard new employees and manage HR tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Manufacturing experience an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience working with HRIS software – Workday would be considered an asset
Ability to travel as required – 10%
