Reporting to the Manager of Aviation, Accounting, the Accountant will be involved in full cycle of
accounting, including but not limited to A/R, A/P, General ledger Accounting, Month end close, year
end close. They will work in close collaboration with our operation team and Aviation leadership team.
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Review transactions including A/P and A/R for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and Post journal entries to the financial system.
- Calculate monthly accruals and adjustments.
- Coordinates month-end, quarter and year-end closing activities, supports and collaborates with internal departments and our external partners to compile accurate financial statements.
- Maintaining the GL and reconciliation of all accounts (including monthly bank reconciliation)
- Perform the variance analysis.
- Compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements.
- Assist with annual financial auditing, provides audit samples, working papers, etc.
Qualifications And Skills Required
- Post-secondary education with enrollment in a professional accounting program plus two to
three years’ related work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- NetSuite by Oracle experience is an asset.
