SMS Equipment Inc. Looking for Talent Acquisition Lead at Acheson, AB Full Time

At SMS Equipment, the Talent Acquisition Lead is responsible for delivering operational support across SMS Equipment to ensure proactive and consistent processes for all talent acquisition activities. We are looking for a candidate that can bring their expertise, collaborative attitude, and positivity to our team in Acheson, AB.

This position offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Execution & Vendor Management. Work with RPO’s to manage hourly candidate recruitment an ensure that it is effective and efficient. Work with selected compliance vendors to ensure practises are consistently implemented. Act as an escalation point for all vendors and internal stakeholders interacting with vendors. Evaluates and communicates with all new vendors.
• Operational Management. Responsible for the execution of talent attraction initiatives, including working with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator on all external events. Participate and execute talent attraction events. Work with the HR Coordinators to manage and implement recruitment, compliance and pre-boarding practices ensuring SLAs are maintained and escalating SLAs that are not being met. Measures, analyze, and report on Talent Acquisition practices against established metrics.

Qualifications include:

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or a related field plus a minimum of 3 years experience working with full cycle Talent Acquisition processes. Additional qualifications include:

• Previous experience working with vendor relationships or within a vendor environment.
• Experience supporting recruitment within a medium/large sized enterprise, for trades, staff, corporate and leadership roles.
• Experience using social media outlets for talent acquisition.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems, UKG is an asset.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in mining and/or construction industries an asset.
• Relevant designation(s), such as CPHR or RPR is an asset.
• Fluency in Canadian French is an asset
