Softtrans Logistics is a Canadian subsidiary of Shenzhen SoftTrans supply chain Co., Ltd. established in Nova Scotia in January 2020. In recent years, with the increasing demand from China for seafoods especially live lobster from Maritime Canada, Air shipping from Atlantic provinces of Canada to China has become the “bottle neck” of the supply chain. Softtrans Logistics focused on connecting to international air cargo hub, eg. JFK airport, BOS airport and ORD airport by “Flying Trucks” multi mode logistics services for exporters in seafood industries. We now looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join the team in Canada to leader of our logistics coordination staff working closely with our professional drivers team to deliver competent transportation logistics services (including cross-border trucking and all other conveyances).
Responsibilities:
Tasks
- Take full charge of the daily work of our logistics assistants team (allocating workloads, review duty performance, arrange for short notice vacancy, provide timely correction, help with and resolve issues), train and guide the team for perfect function, educate talented staff on corresponding industry in major commodity origin/destination countries (like China) to foster potential future logistic officers, and direct the team in all of the following activities involved in multiple aspects of all freights loading and deliveries: receive, unload, inspect, storage and accurately record in our advanced system all inbound freights by land, air and sea.
- Contact shippers for goods damages or shortages.
- Examine goods destinations and make detailed, fastest and best cost-cutting shipping schedules and distributing routes to ensure the fastest dispatching of outbound freights; check on the requested timeline and decide on FCL or LCL dispatch, ground or ocean or air freight forwarding service.
- Closely coordinate with our professional transportation crews, assist our drivers with loading, give them as fast as possible remedial assistance in case of emergency, and help them resolve various problems to ensure goods received on schedule.
- Prepare docs and complete customs process for freights to-and-from overseas including the U.S.
- Carefully examine rules of the destination country to ensure goods in compliance with safety and security regulations.
