Spartan Controls Ltd. Looking for Technical Sales Specialist – Machinery Performance at Regina, SK Full Time

Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Specialist, for the Machinery Performance team, in Regina or Saskatoon. Reporting to the General Manager of Saskatchewan with a strong connection to the Machinery Performance BU.

To be successful in this role, you will work with Account Managers, Territory Managers and Application Specialists to support the account planning process, develop trusting Customer relationships, and help grow the business through increased Customer loyalty. You will focus heavily on understanding the Customers’ processes and delivering solutions to our Customers’ problems.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drive business growth and deliver booking goals for Machinery Performance solutions in a Team Selling Environment.
• Work with customers, appropriate principals, and others to ensure an understanding of the market, competition, opportunities, and sales/support strategies.
• Maintain and develop new relationships with key customers and industry contacts
• Work with customers to understand their needs and preferences for our relevant products and services
• In conjunction with our sales and service teams, formulate, communicate, and implement plans to successfully deliver on identified business opportunities
• Ensure customer satisfaction and continued preference by engaging throughout the BU’s products and services delivery
• Prepare timely forecasts/reports on sales activities
• Provide necessary technical and sales support to the account and territory sales team
• Provide 1st call technical telephone support on our products and applications

Qualifications and Skills

• Engineering Degree, Diploma, or a Technical trade with applicable field experience
• Strong product and application understanding of rotating/reciprocating equipment, instrumentation, and automation
• Proven customer service skills
• Solid negotiation, deal-making, selling, and presentation skills
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Highly motivated, innovative, and a self-starter
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Entrepreneurial work ethic
• Valid driver’s license, as travel is required
