Special Areas Board Looking for Seasonal Construction Crew at Canada Full Time

• Work week hours are dependent on Crew assignment – majority of placements are Camp Based (Monday through Friday) or from our Youngstown Service Center

Positions available include:

• Construction Crew Operators (grader/scraper/dozer)
• GBC/Chip Crew Operators (spreader operators/helpers, gravel checkers/spotters, grader operators)
• Support Crew Operators (flag persons/packers/sweepers/rakers/reclamation)
• Truck Drivers (water/gravel/oil)
• Camp Attendants and Camp Cooks

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) – combination of experience/education will be considered
• Prior road maintenance and/or construction experience is an asset
• Physical capabilities to perform job duties – required lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge in the care and use of tools and equipment common to these positions
• Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion and use good judgement

Preference may be given to candidates possessing:

• Class 3 AB Drivers Licence – Air Endorsement
• Class 1 Drivers Licence
• ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬These are designated safety sensitive positions and mandatory pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on all newly hired employees
• These positions will be working outside completing fieldwork in rural-remote areas
• Availability to work into September/October
• Overtime work may be expected as a part of this role.

Responsibilities

Key Duties will include:

• Operation of road construction equipment for tasks such as road construction and repair
• Equipment servicing and minor repairs
• Delivering the Special Areas Safety Program and all reporting requirements

Pay Rate

$21.2243 – $35.3574 per hour
