Starbucks Looking for customer logistics manager, distribution – supply chain operations Canada at North York, Ontario, Canada Full Time

This position contributes to Starbucks success by managing the customer interface for a number of Starbucks Canada business units, providing people leadership & talent development, and best in class customer service. This position is a key role within the Starbucks Canada Supply Chain organization that leads a team responsible for managing customer relationships; acts as the leadership face of the Starbucks Canada Supply Chain to our operators/retailers and champions the voice of the customer back into the organization. This role oversees our end-to-end order-to-cash function, inclusive of our customer service team. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

This role will be working out of the Toronto Regional Office and will require the successful candidate to work out of the regional office 3 days per week.

As a Customer Logistics Manager, You Will

Strategic

• Ensure the necessary leadership, processes and tools are in place across the Canadian markets to deliver a better and more efficient customer experience.
• Enable growth by simplifying, standardizing and automating work in the markets, across operating hubs and with our 3rd party service providers/suppliers
• Responsible for key strategic customer/channel collaboration programs delivering accelerated growth rates, lower cost and minimized E2E inventory
• Leads & Supports the development and management of integrated cross-functional strategic projects.
• Drive the establishment and integration of Cost to Serve programs in all key business units with the lens of educating partners and influencing decision-making
• Act as the “voice of Canada” in the transformation of the enterprise-wide Order to Cash process and system integration to support end-to-end order management activities.
• Focus on the customer experience and “make it easy to do business with Starbucks”.

Tactical

• Establish goals and priorities for team in line with service level agreements and organizational strategy
• Develop resourcing strategy to support base business and Next Generation Supply Chain resource requirements
• Responsible for achieving business results for several key performance indicators (eg: Order Accuracy, Order Cycle Time)
• Drive programmatic issue resolution through tracking/trending customer relationship management data and partnering with relevant stakeholders to deliver unreasonably passionate and exceptional customer service
• Accountable for the management of timely customer communications in compliance with business procedures, SOPs, and SOX regulations
• Accountable for overall order management including high touch situations such as inclement weather and emergency orders.
• Design and continuously evolve the Customer Service Representative/Logistics Services Representative training curriculum to address opportunities for advancement of competencies and skill
• Act as the Canada Customer Logistics SOX compliance office

Qualifications –

We’d love to hear from people with:

• Direct management responsibility for a team of 5+ individual contributors
• 10 years of industry experience
• Performance management experience driving process improvements using leading and lagging indicators
• Operator or Retail Supply Chain Channel management with Inventory management experience or equivalent
• Supply chain experience, preferably in channel management, planning (demand/supply) or in an inventory management role
• A proven track record for improving productivity and revenue opportunities across all stages of the product lifecycle
• Strong understanding of an end to end Supply Chain and the value / cost drivers that Supply Chain can drive – from manufacturing through logistics/transportation to the customer delivery execution
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and ability to effectively lead a large team through a complex business issue
• Data-oriented, analytical and detail oriented, yet balanced with an ability to be able to step back from the data to draw out the right business conclusions.
