Steelcon Fabrication Inc. Looking for HR Advisor at St. Catharines, ON Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Professional looking to advance their HR skills in an industry-leading structural steel manufacturing company. Working as a strategic HR Advisor ; you will exert influence, provide decision support, and administer employee transactions in all HR functions. You will also work on various projects aligned with enhancing human resources services at SIN Structures Inc., a division of Steelcon Fabrication Inc., located in our St. Catharines, Ontario, reporting to the HR manager in Brampton.

As a human resources advisor, you will contribute to our team by:

• Being the first point of contact, providing administrative support, guidance and coaching to managers and frontline supervisors for all HR related inquiries and serve as an employee ambassador.
• Efficient administration of all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including on boarding, off boarding, benefits administration, and other key processes
• Partnering with the business in providing frontline supervisors with skills, methodologies, and overall coaching to manage employees by resolving employee and performance issues ensuring favorable outcomes.
• Delivering training programs, facilitation sessions and identifying training requirements.
• Partnering with managers to meet goals and objectives through people strategies.
• Contributing to strategic staffing activities, recruitment, and development of the workforce
• Building trusted relationships with employees through engagement practices to help guide them through global and local change and to promote a high level of employee morale and engagement
• Participating in collaborative HR team initiatives; to enhance HR services to the business.
• Identify new opportunities for HR to add value; and maintain strong knowledge of current Legal requirements and HR industry trends ensuring compliance with current employment legislation to reduce legal risks.
• Contributing to continuous process improvement and streamlining HR processes.
• Perform all other Human Resources related duties as directed.

What you will bring to this role:

• Postsecondary education in HR or a related field with a preference in a relevant HR designation.
• 5+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Fluent in Spanish is an asset.
• Experience with providing HR support in a manufacturing work environment with strong experience in employee relations issues.
